This is a real unusual hinge pair. The finish (over steel) is flashed copper. A copper coating was applied first, and then the hinges were flashed, or splashed, with a black lacquer. This technique was used from about 1900 to the late 1920s. This pair perhaps came from an old cabinet or box. Its uniqueness is the wider one wing. They are a flat surface hinges.
Each hinges measures 2 1/2 inches vertically and 2 1/2 inches across both wings. The smaller wing is 7/8 inch wide. The wider wing is 1 3/8 inches wide.
The pair is in very good condition. They appear to have not been used, or were used very little. The hinges are loose and ready to use. Screws will be included.
