This is another hand-blown glass knob from the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. It dates from 1835 to about 1850. The company went out of business in January of 1888. Each of these hand-blown knobs are slightly different because they were done individually. They differ in the shape of the knob, the size of the base, and height.
This beautiful knob with its swirl pattern measures 2 1/8 inches across the top. It base measures 1 3/8 inches in diameter. The knob projects 2 inches from the surface. The knob has a rough spot and slight chip on its base which is hardly noticeable.
We have a few of the wide-headed bolts used to secure such knobs. If you are in need of one, call us. This knob does not come with a bolt.
