This beautiful pair of brass hinges could be used on a passage door or on a large cupboard. They come out of the Eastlake era (1870-1890) and have an excellent brass finish. The pattern is on the front side of the flat hinges and on a portion of the backside–which will be exposed when the door is shut. There is no pattern on the spine. However, the crown finials give this pair an exquisite finish.
The hinges are lift-off style. They are to be mounted on a left-hand door, so, if desired, the door can be lifted off of its hinges without taking out any screws. The pin of each hinge separates at the center so the top portion of the hinge can be lifted with the door.
The hinges measures 3 inches vertically, but with the crown finials, they are 4 1/2 inches. The total width of each hinge is 3 inches. Each wing measures 1 1/4 inches wide and has three holes for mounting.
Screws will be included.
