At first inspection of this brass handle pair, we thought of them as a unique set of furniture handles. But now we feel that these were actually made for a trunk or chest. Brass handles are not seen too often for trunks and chests. They are in the size and shape of the leather straps used for trunks and have the artificial “screws” to resemble such trunk straps. The handles, though, are fastened from the back with screws just as one would attach furniture pulls.
Each handle measures 7 1/8 inches long and 2 inches wide at the ends and 1 1/4 inches wide at the strap. Hole centers are 6 inches apart. The depth of the handle from the surface is approximately 7/8 inch.
This is truly a unique pair. Screws will be provided.
