This cabinet catch is old, but has never been used. Most that we have in stock are still in their original packaging. This means they are in great condition!
It is brass with a steel insert for strength. A couple different strikes are included for different cabinet configurations. One strike can be use for flush doors or under shelf applications. The other can be used for overlapping doors.
This catch is reversible, so it can be used on both right or left hand doors. These doors can be up to 1 1/8″ thick.
The patent numbers on the packaging indicate that this catch was patented in 1943, which is interesting since it is an all metal construction during a time when there was a shortage because of World War 2.
