This single 2 1/4 inch knob looks like a dark brass, but is could be cast bronze. We have found that the early manufacturers made many of their Victorian knobs in cast bronze. They are heavy and have a deep aged patina. The two metals look so much alike that, here at the store, we sometimes aren’t sure which is which.
This beauty is an unknown. We don’t know who made it nor if it has a pattern name. It is a fine, old knob, however. The domed knob is belted and the pattern extends to the backside. The neck is straight.
