George Hepplewhite (1727-1786) was one of the top furniture and cabinet makers,of the 18th century. In London he created chests and sideboards that used either,round or oval pulls with a bail. That style has been popular ever since. , ,Here is a set if round Hepplewhite pulls that are single-post. The post with screw ,is at the top of the round back plate which means that the pull lays 2 1/4″ below the,screw hole. Each back plate measures 2 3/4″ round. ,There is a rope pattern around the outside edge of the back plate and also in the,center of the plate. The bail has a floral décor.
