This pocket door plate and pull is heavy cast brass. It was manufactured by the Reading Hardware Company of Reading, Pennsylvania. This pattern, called “Mantua,” appeared in their 1910 catalog. The pattern is fairly simple compared to its catalog partners. There is a heavy bunch of leaves at the top and bottom of the plate, while the rest of the plate is plain. The hardware weighs 9 ounces. The company name and pattern name are stamped on the back of the plate.
The plate measures 8 inches vertically and 2 1/2 inches horizontally. The inset for fingers pull measures 3 inches vertically and 1 3/4 inches horizontally. This inset is to be embedded into the door 1/4 inch.
We have cleaned the pull. It is in excellent condition. Screws will be included.
