This old butterfly hinge was made by the Stanley Works in New Britain, Conn. sometime between 1920 and 1935. It has the sweetheart logo on the back. We have not cleaned this hinge but have left it as is. It is a steel hinge that had a brass finish, but at some time, someone covered the cabinet with dark varnish, including the hinges. Thus, this hinge is dark and shabby which may be perfect for your use.
This flat-surface hinge measures 3 inches across both wings. It is 1 3/4 inches vertically. The longer wing is 1 3/4 inches deep, and the smaller wing is 1 1/8 inches deep.
The spine has been oiled and, therefore, is loose and ready to be used. Screws will be included.
