This pair appears to be older than the others listed in our catalog. The leaf that fastens to the front of the barn door is very heavy and thick. The pair was manufactured by the Camel Company. There is a camel logo on the hardware and a patent date of June, 1872.
Each roller assembly weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces. The pair, therefore, weighs 14 pounds, 6 ounces. The iron leaf is 7/16 inch thick and needs four bolts to fasten it to the front of the door. The roller (wheel) measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter. Each assembly measures 10 inches vertically and 6 inches across. The track slides into a trough on the back side of the hardware.
We have only brushed the dirt from this pair. The wheels are loose and in good shape. This is a fine old pair of barn door rollers that are very difficult to find.
