These props are for holding casement windows open, locking them in place. This is a matching pair–for two windows. They are steel (iron) with a brass-like coating. The bracket is fastened at the base of the casement window, and the screw clamp is fastened on the outside frame. When the window is opened the rod slides to the desired opening up to about 10 or 11 inches. Then the screw clamp is tightened to hold the rod in plate and the window tight.
The rods are 12 inches long, and are hinged to a bracket at one end. The brackets measure 1 7/8 inches by 5/8 inch. The hole centers are 1 1/4 inches. The screw clamp’s back plate is 1 3/4 inches by 1 inch. There are two mounting holes with centers at 1 1/4 inches. The screw knob is 3/4 inch across. This clamp projects 1 1/2 inches from its surface.
Screws are included.
