This exquisite set dates before 1900 and is cast brass or cast bronze. Many pre-1900 hardware manufacturers used cast bronze. It looks like brass but is somewhat deeper and richer in color. All four of these pieces are heavy and highly decorated.
The back plates measure 6 1/2 inches vertically and 2 1/2 inches horizontally. The door knob hole is 2 1/4 inches above the key hole. The door knobs are 2 1/4 inches round. The heavy decoration is only on the top of the knob. The set includes a spindle and set screws. One set screw is frozen into the spindle, but this does not pose a problem.
This set is truly a rare antique ensemble. It is in great condition and will attract a great deal of attention. We will include screws.
