This cast iron window latch shows some copper flashing on its surface. This treatment was used from about 1900 to 1920. However, the pattern of the latch looks Victorian. The keeper matches with the latch and is original.
The sash latch measures 2 5/8 inches long and one inch wide. The thumb turn on this piece is controlled by a spring. The keeper measures 2 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. This tall patterned piece projects from the surface 1 1/4 inches.
We have cleaned and oiled the latch. Screws will be included.
