This Victorian latch, dating from about 1880 to 1900, is somewhat longer than normal. It probably came from a larger pantry cabinet or stand-alone cupboard. The latch is all original, including the keeper, and is in good working order. The brass knob controls the plunger which fastens behind the keeper. It is spring loaded. The body of the latch measures 2 3/8 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. With the keeper, the overall length is 3 1/4 inches.,The Old Hardware Store carries only original working old hardware. We will include black flat-headed screws.
