This large boxy turn latch is made of heavy cast iron. the knob has a nickel coating. The body of the latch has no nickel coating, but the keeper appears to have some trace amounts. To say the least, this old piece has character. We are guessing that it dates at least to the 1920s. It is a large variety. This latch would go well on a large cupboard. It measures 2 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches long, including the keeper. With the knob, it projects from the door face 1 3/4 inches. The latch is is good working order. Old steel screws are included.
