This wonderful cabinet latch is heavy and larger. It is made out of cast iron with a bronze finish. The bronze finish has been rubbed off of the keeper. Because of the Eastlake pattern and bronze finish, this piece dates to the late 1800s.
The latch box measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 5/8 inches. It has a spring mechanism which is in good working order. The patent date of “11-90” is stamped on the bottom. The matching keeper measures 2 1/4 inches by 5/8 inch. The round turn knob is 1 1/8 inches in diameter. Including the knob, the latch projects from the surface 1 3/8 inches.
We will include the mounting screws.
