This simple “bowtie” latch is used to keep cabinet doors from swinging open. This one, however, has a back plate behind the turn button. Very Unusual!! The 1 5/8 inch round back plate is in two pieces, one for the right-hand cabinet door and one for the left-hand side. The whole assembly is attached with screws. One won’t often find this latch because the small portion (only 3/8 inches wide) is usually gone. The turn button is cast iron and quite old. Steel screws are included.
