This elusive cast-iron window latch is uncommon because the keeper is usually missing. We have both pieces, and they are authentic and original. The latch is plain with no Victorian pattern, but it dates to that era.
The latch base measures 2 3/8 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. The hole centers are 1 1/2 inches apart. The swing arm is 1 3/4 inches long. The keeper is a slim 1 7/8 inches long and 5/8 inch wide.
The latch was originally painted black. Most of that factory paint is still intact. The hook on the swing arm fastens in a grove on the back of the keeper.
This old piece is in very good shape. We will include the proper screws.
