This cast iron window latch is quite plain compared to others of the Victorian age. It has no pattern. At one time, there was a brass finish, but that is mostly gone.
The latch measures 2 3/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide, not counting the lever. The keeper is 2 3/8 inches long and 3/4 inches wide.
The lever controls a hook-like latch that swings under the keeper and fastens securely. The latch is in good working order.
This is a fine piece of old hardware. We will include old steel screws.
