We find these simple ring pulls on dressers and buffets. This one probably came from out of the 1930s or early 1940s. In the store, we refer to these as “florets” because of the vase and flowers motif of the back plate.
The 1 1/2 inch steel ring is held by a cast brass back plate (the floret). However, the brass has a nickel finish. The back plate measures 1 7/8 inches vertically and 7/8 inch across the top. There is a small hole at the bottom of the back plate for a brad or screw to secure the pull tightly to the surface. The post on the back projects 5/16 inch and is to be inserted into the wood. A screw is then fed from the back of the drawer to thread into the post. The total drop of the pull from the top of the back plate to the bottom of the ring is 1 7/8 inches. A screw will be included.
