This wonderful little latch is highly sought after and very difficult for us to find. It is made out of brass, and, therefore is solid and heavy, but has a copper finish. This cupboard latch, more than likely, came from a Hoosier-style kitchen cabinet from the early 20th century. It is right-hand lever latch.
The right side of the latch, that is mounted on the door, has a back plate that measures 2 inches vertically and 3/4 inch wide. It is mounted with two screws. The lever is 2 1/4 inches long. We have installed a new spring. The keeper, that mounts on the frame, measures 2 inches vertically by 3/8 inch wide. The hook or keeper is at the top of the piece. It has about a 3/8-inch off set from the right-hand latch.
Don’t hesitate on this one. Screws will be included.
