Description

We think cream separators when we see the word “De Laval.” Dr. Gustaf de Laval patented the first cream separator around 1878 in Swedan.,The machine became a must for farmers with milk cows. Rather than letting the milk “settle out.” the farmer could now mechanically separate the cream from the milk. ,This name plate must have come off of a 1928 de Laval cream separator. It says: “Golden Anniversary Series 1878.” The brass name plate is 3 inches round and is in very good condition. It is not completely flat, but convex. This is a fine collector’s piece.
