This awesome piece is as it came off of the door. (except we have cleaned it.) Both pieces were used together years ago, but they are not a perfect match. The keeper is the right shape and size, but a close look at the pattern, reveals that the patterns do not match. This is not a major factor.
This barrel bolt is quite old–dating to the Victorian era, pre-1900. It is intact, not broken, and has a patent date of 1874 stamped on the back. The brass (or bronze) knob makes this antique even more unique. It has a full round barrel mechanism.
The barrel latch is 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It projects 1 1/2 inches from the surface. The keeper is 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The entire length of the latch, including both pieces, 5 1/2 inches.
Screws will be included.
