This brass beauty dates around 1882-1885. It was probably made by the Norwich Lock Mfg. Company. One very similar to this appeared in their 1882 catalog. There are some slight varieties of this particular pattern, but what is obvious, is the Eastlake daisy. The 2 1/4 inch brass knobs are heavy and have the classic pattern on the underneath side as well.
,These knobs must have been for an entry door because the necks are thicker than most, and at the time of this writing, do not fit into any of our backplates of the same pattern. Please check with us to see if we have acquired any new backplates into which these do fit.
