Only occasionally do we come across an Eastlake tear drop that is brown wood—not painted black. This one does not appear to have ever been painted. It is a large tear drop, measuring 1 1/2 inches across the belly.
The drop from the hinge is 2 1/2 inches. The hinge is fastened to a steel bolt that is 1 7/8 inches long. From the back of the plate, there is 1 1/4 inches of space for the drawer. A square nut is included.
The brass back plate is 1 1/2 inches round. Even though one can’t see in the photo, there is a small brass tack, or finial, at the bottom of the tear drop.
This old pull is in very good condition.
