Eastlake Teardrop pulls (1870-1890) all resemble each other, but each one can be slightly different. The painted wooden drops can be slender or fat-bellied. This one is somewhat larger and has a bulging belly. It is in very good condition with all of the original paint intact.
The drop hangs from a yoke that is attached to the bolt. The drop is 2 1/2 inches. The teardrop is approximately 1 1/2 inches across the belly. There is a small tack-like finial at the base of the drop. The brass round convexed back plate is 1 5/8 inches round. (If the pattern is not correct, call us for other possibilities.) The bolt is 2 inches long, but only extends beyond the back plate by 1 1/2 inches. An old nut is included.
This one is over 115 years old. The Old Hardware Store specializes in authentic hardware.
