This is a complete set. This latch, which bolts a door at the top, has its matching keeper–a very hard-to-find piece. The door bolt also has its original chain. The door bolt has an Eastlake pattern. It dates from 1870 to 1890.
The cast iron bolting mechanism, which is spring operated, measures 5 1/4 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. The keeper measures 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches vertically.
The bolt is in good working order. We have cleaned and oiled the piece. Screws will be included.
Considering its age, this is a rare find.
