This knob is medium size. Such knobs as this were often used along side the teardrop pulls on a dresser. It is of the Eastlake era in the Victorian period, 1870 to 1890. The painted black wood is original. The knob is topped with a brass cap that has an Eastlake motif.
The nob measures 1 1/4 inches across the top and projects from the surface of the drawer 1 1/8 inches. The embedded bolt extends 1 1/4 inches beyond the base. The square nut is included.
The knob is in very fine condition. All the original paint is intact.
