This is a back plate for behind a door knob, but it is small. This beaded-edge plate is flashed copper so, therefore, came out of the early 20th Century. The copper coating and flashing (black streaks) is not in excellent shape because of years of wear and exposure. The flashed copper treatment was not durable. But most of the finish is still intact.
The plate measures 4 1/8 inches vertically and 1 3/4 inches across. The plate is beveled approximately 3/8 inch and, thus, does not lay flat on the surface. Screws will be provided.
