We are listing this piece as a window “sash lift.” However, this item could also be used in a pocket door as a pull. It dates from 1900 to the 1920s when the flashed copper treatment was all the rage. A flashing of black lacquer was sprayed over the copper base. This pull (or lift) is in very good condition and appears to have had little use.
The face of the lift measures 3 1/8 inches across and 1 3/4 inches wide. The recess opening is 2 1/4 inches by 7/8 inch. There is room for three fingers. The 1/2-inch deep recess will be embedded into the wood of the window or door. There are two hole at the base of the recess to secure the item to the wood with screws.
