There are three pieces to this ensemble: the hook, a large black screw, and a eye screw. This is an excellent way to fasten that old garden house door, barn door, or gate.
The old iron hook measures 5 7/8 inches long. It swivels on a black, round-head screw. (The screw is not tightened down tight in order to allow the hook to move up and down.) An old eye screw is used for the keeper. It measures 2 inches long, with an eye of 7/8 inch round. When the eye screw is installed, it will hold the end of the hook in place. The hook is mounted on the door and the eye screw is mounted on the frame.
