For the higher quality of furniture in the Victorian era, heavy cast-brass pulls with brass bails were used. These sets of hardware are, bar none, classy, gorgeous, and elegant. This is that kind of set. All features of these four pulls point to the higher affluence of that era.
The open, filigree back plate measures 4 1/2 inches across and 1 3/4 inches vertically. The hole centers are 3 inches. The decorated bail is solid brass. (decorated on both sides) The posts are fancy and soldered into the back plate. The posts and bolts feed into the front of the drawer and are then secured on the back of the drawer with nuts.
The set has been cleaned and restored. (We never finish off our cleaning with a spray or sealer.) Through the years, this set will darken to a rich patina. The set is in excellent condition. All bolts and nuts are included. All four bails match.
