c. 1940 – 1950

1 in stock

George Hepplewhite (1727-1786) and Thomas Sheraton were top English furniture makers of the 18th century. The hardware has continued to be used and copied for generations. The furniture and hardware is graceful, delicate, and simple with classical lines. The hardware, used on side boards and highboys, was oval or round with subdued, classic designs with rope trims or floral patterns on the bails. This set of 12 would look wonderful on a highboy dresser or 4-drawer chest. We have only lightly dusted these pieces so they are as is. Measurements are 3 1/2″ by 2 3/4 inches. The hole centers are 2 1/2 inches. The patina is darker on some of the pieces, which gives the set character. The pieces have a floral trim around the edge and on the bail. Screws included.
