This old heavy brass ring pull may have at one time been embedded into a cellar door. From its aged patina and makeup, we know this gem has been around for a long time. The pull’s back plate needs to be embedded into the surface by 3/8 inch. The ring lays down inside the back plate, which creates a flat surface. That is why this type of pull was used on cellar doors or floor doors so a rug could be laid over the door.
The back plate measures 3 5/8 inches by 2 1/2 inches. The ring is 2 inches round. The plate is fastened down with four screws, which we will provide.
