It is hard to determine the age of this set because it is new-old-stock and has never been used. We received these in a box of “stuff,” and it took us awhile to figure out exactly how this set worked and for what. The set consists of eight pieces: two barrel bolt latches and 6 receivers. The set is for a window. A barrel bolt latch is fastened on the inside of the window, one on each edge. Then three keepers are place on each side of the frame. The window can then be lifted or lowered, snapping or locking it into a set position, (to allow air into the house) using the keepers on the side. Nifty, huh? The original screws are included.
