This old steel stop-hinge pair was made by the National Lock Company of Rockford, Illinois. This pair dates before 1960. It is a unique pair. The spine is constructed so that the hinges stop at almost the flat position. In other words, the hinges will fold closed, but will NOT open beyond a 180-degree bend.
Each hinge measures 2 inches vertically. With the ball finials, the hinge is 2 1/2 inches vertically. The measurement across both wings is 1 1/2 inches. Each wing is 5/8 inch wide.
If this pair were put on a box, the lid would not be able to extend back but would be stopped at an upright position.
We will include the screws.
