The photo reflects and appears to be brass. This latch is actually nickel plated steel. This is a common lever latch for the Hoosier-style kitchen cabinets. When the lever is pulled down, the catch moves left and right. It is spring operated and works well.
The back plate of the latch measures 2 1/2 inches vertically and 1 1/8 inches across (wide). It is fastened to the door with two screws. The entire width of the latch, including the lever handle, is 2 1/2 inches.
This latch does not come with a keeper. Two screws will be included for the latch.
