This heavy old hinge is rough or shabby-looking in the photo because it still has old nickel plating on the surface. The hinge is actually brass. This hinge would work well as is with an old ice box, or you could scrub the nickel plating off and have a brass hinge.
The hinge has a 3/8-inch off set to allow for the door. The butterfly-style smaller wing, that mounts on the box frame, measures 1 1/2-inches deep and 2 3/4 inches vertically. The hole centers on the outer part are 2 1/4 inches. The longer wing, that fastens to the door, measures 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches vertically.
We have not cleaned the hinge, but have left it as is. It is loose and ready to use. Screws will be included.
