This style of glass (crystal) knob is larger than the more common fluted knobs. This pair of knobs measure 2 1/4 inches across the face. There is a wide, flat platform with eight facets surrounding it. One can look down into the center of the knob, through the platform, and see a “star” pattern. The knobs have brass-plated necks.
This set of 9 pieces is in very good condition and consists of: a mortise lock, two door knobs, 2 rosettes, 2 key escutcheons, one strike plate, and a key. A spindle, set screws, and mounting screws are also included. The set is stamped steel with a brass plating. Everything works, and it is ready to use.
The mortise lock measures 3 3/4 inches by 3 1/8 inches. The lock faceplate is 5 3/8 inches by 7/8 inch. The rosettes are 2 inches round and mounted with three screws. The key escutcheons are convex and measure 1 5/8 inches by 1 1/4 inches.
When mounting the set, the key escutcheons are screwed over the key holes in the mortise lock.
