This is a very unique letter opener. It is heavy enough, however, to serve as a paper weight also. The heavy metal piece is brass or bronze coated. The top of the opener is a paper clip.
The length of this piece is 10 1/2 inches. The blade is one inch wide. The native’s head, which is the top of the paper clip, measures 2 1/2 inches vertically (includes hat) and 2 1/8 inches wide. The clip is a fairly strong spring-loaded clip or paper holder.
At the very top of the piece is a hole for hanging on a wall or elsewhere.
The blade does not have a sharp or knife-edge. This would be a fine addition to a letter opener collection.
