This oval name plate is in a convex shape in order to fit over the front bar of the bicycle. Schwinn made bicycles in Chicago starting in 1895. We do not know how old this name plate is. The thin metal plate has lost some of its white paint. It measures 3 1/8 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. Under the name “Schwinn” is the tiny word “Chicago.” There is a hole at the top and bottom of the name plate.
