This single-post drawer pull probably came from out of the late 1930s or 1940s. The piece consists of a small steel back plate and a brass pendant pull. We have left the pull in its aged patina finish, but it could be polished.
The back plate measures 2 inches horizontally and 1 5/8 inches vertically. Including the pendant, however, the total drop is 2 1/4 inches. There is a small hole at the base of the back plate for securing the plate to the drawer front with a brad or screw (so the plate will not turn). From the backside of the back plate, the post projects from the center 1/2 inch. The screw is then inserted from the back of the drawer and threaded into the post. A screw will be provided.
