An inset-ring pull is one that has the ring bail inset or lying up against the back plate. Without looking closely, one sees the ring appearing to be part of the back plate. ,In this set of 8, the ring is highly decorated and snugs up to the back plate, giving the back plate a three-demminishal look. The single mounting post is in the center of the back plate. There are two sizes in this set. There are 4 of the larger, measuring 2 1/8 inches round, and 4 of the smaller ones, measuring 1 3/4 inches round. Other decorations include the fingernail pattern around the edge of the back plate and a flower button in the center. The estimated age of this set is from the 1940s. There is a hole at the base of the back plate for a small nail or screw to anchor the back plate so it will not turn. Screws are included.
