This pull is smaller than some of the other Eastlake teardrop pulls of this style. It, however, is not the smallest. The drop measures from the hinge to the tip of the base finial 2 inches. The black painted wood part measures 1 1/4 inches long (without finial) and 1 1/8 inches across the belly.
The drop hangs from a brass yoke hinge and post head. The 2 1/4-inch bolt is steel, with a square nut. The distance from the back plate to the end of the bolt is 1 3/4 inches. The convex brass back plate is 1 1/4 inches round.
The original black paint is intact. We have not polished the back plate. It could be polished to a bright brass. This over-100-year old piece is in very good condition.
