This unique piece has its original swing bail which spreads out beyond the back plate. The back plate is stamped brass, but the bail and posts are cast brass. The hole centers are only 1 1/2 inches apart which leads us to guess that this pull may have been used on a thread chest or sewing machine drawer. It has the Eastlake influence which dates this piece pre-1900.
The back plate measures 2 1/4 inches horizontally and vertically. The decorated bail measures 2 7/8 inches across. The posts’ bolts extend beyond the back plate 1 1/2 inches. Special sized nuts are included.
