This set of eight is really different. Even though it comes from the Victorian era, it does not have the typical frilly pattern. We call it “Knit & Pearl” because it reminds us of grandma’s afghan. The set probably came off of a less expensive piece of furniture because of its simple makeup—steel eye bolts and a steel bail.
The stamped brass back plates measure 4 1/4 inches across and 1 7/8 inches vertically. The drop from the top of the plate to the bottom of the bail is 2 3/8 inches. The steel bail is a wide and low slung one with a small amount of decoration. The hole centers are 3 inches.
The set is in very good condition, with very few dents and dings. All the bails match. All the nuts are included. The set is ready to use.
