This Victorian era door plate is stamped brass. The plate does not lay flat to the door. It is con-vexed and protrudes from the door about 3/16 inch. The fish-scale pattern around the edge of the plate is especially charming. The plate is in very good shape with no dings or dents. A simple brass doorknob would go well with this back plate.
The plate measures 7 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. The keyhole is 2 1/4 inches below the doorknob hole. Screws will be included.
