This large Victorian drawer pull is somewhat different than the others in that it has brass posts and a steel bail that is patterned on both sides. The stamped brass back plate is heavier brass as well. The overall look is different, a more contemporary design rather than the usual Victorian flare. Because of the shape of the bail, this piece appears to have an Eastlake influence.
The back plate measures 5 3/8 inches horizontally and 2 1/8 inches vertically. The total drop including the bail measures 2 1/2 inches. The hole centers are 3 inches apart. The bolts extend 1 3/8 inches from the back of the plate. The original nuts are included.
Here at the Old Hardware Store we are constantly looking for additional patterns of this early furniture hardware. Currently we estimate that our antique parts drawers hold over 250 patterns.
