This stamped brass drawer pull dates to the Victorian era, in America: 1870-1915. Since this one was heavily painted, we cleaned and polished the pull. New brass-coated eye bolts have also been added. The decorated steel bail is old. Most stamped brass pulls from this era had steel swing bails.
The back plate measures 4 1/4 inches horizontally and 1 5/8 inches vertically. The total drop including the bail is 2 1/4 inches. The hole centers are 3 inches apart. Nuts are included.
The pattern of this pull could be used either way. We visioned the pattern as having the finial on top, but one could turn this one up side down giving it the appearance of a large urn. It is absolutely beautiful either way!
