This stamped steel key-hole door escutcheon comes from the Victorian era (1870-1915). It may have accompanied the popular pre-1900 stamped patterned steel door knobs. It does not lay flat, but is beveled or raised from the surface 1/16 of an inch.
The key escutcheon measures 1 7/8 inches vertically and 1 1/4 inches horizontally. The key hole opening is 5/8 inch long. Small steel screws will be included for mounting.
